About the Department:
The Department of Roga Nidan & Vikriti Vigyan focuses on the fundamentals of disease diagnosis in Ayurveda. It teaches the etiology, clinical manifestations, and pathogenesis of diseases, along with methods of examining patients through Ayurvedic principles and modern diagnostic tools.
The department is equipped with a teaching and hospital pathology laboratory, a departmental library, tutorial rooms, and a seminar hall for case demonstrations. Facilities include semi-automated hematology and biochemistry analyzers, histological specimens, urine and stool examination units, and ECG facilities, ensuring students gain practical exposure to both classical and modern diagnostic techniques.

Objectives
1. To prepare graduates and specialists to diagnose diseases using Ayurvedic fundamentals and modern tools.
2. To improve students’ clinical skills through pedagogical methods such as Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE), Objective Structured Practical Examination (OSPE), and bedside clinics.
3. To train students in modern laboratory techniques while validating Ayurvedic diagnostic parameters.
4. To provide complete knowledge of clinical interpretation and advanced investigations.
5. To encourage research that bridges Ayurvedic diagnostics with modern pathology.
